He has lived in a Zen Buddhist monastery, busked in the streets of Paris, opened for Joan Baez (who covered several of his songs), and collaborated with Larry Campbell (Bob Dylan, Levon Helm, Elvis Costello). Shindell now makes his home in Buenos Aires, Argentina where he continues to evolve his art. His most recent release, Careless, finds him refreshing his sound with electric guitars, which fans will get to hear on this brief tour. Shindell’s long-celebrated songs champion the downtrodden, skewer politics, prejudice, war and religion, and examine love from all angles.
